MY NIKE WISh

Thank you for coming here to hear my story called ‘Perspective’ so that my Nike ‘crazy dream’ might come true.

If you would like to read it instead of listening, please click here.

I went through a lot at Nike when I worked at their world headquarters including a formal sexual harassment case.

My manager reported it after I begged him not to.

Then I was retaliated against.

- Then Nike fired me -

…then my dream lived on inside my heart for another 10+ years…

So, this is me fighting for my dream.

Nike’s leadership team

confirmed receipt of my story…

And I was asked to be patient by them.

That was 5 years ago.

Here is my story…

“Dream Crazy”

Inspired By Nike

Re-written by Jessie Fream, Former Nike Employee #0124698

If people say your dreams are crazy…

If they laugh at what you think you can do…

Good.

Stay that way.

Because what nonbelievers fail to understand is that calling a dream crazy is not an insult -

it’s a compliment.

Don’t just be another story from your job – ask others to stand up with you.

Become the best team - ever.

Don’t picture yourself losing the battle – picture yourself winning the war.

Don’t settle for sexual harassment – or retaliation.

Fight both.

Lose your fear and doubt and become a light. After getting fired.

Don’t believe you have to be like anybody – to be somebody.

If you’re a woman, don’t let it stop you from dreaming crazy – for the greater good. At Nike.

Don’t become hopeless and decide to give up in the dark. Be bigger than that.

Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.

When they talk about the greatest comeback in the history of Nike – make sure it’s your story.

If you have only one voice – don’t just write your story – say it, to the highest level.

And if you’re a girl from the South, don’t just become a Southern Belle…become the greatest advocate ever.

Yeah…that’s more like it.

So don’t ask if your dreams are crazy…

Ask if they’re crazy enough.
